Asana has unveiled AI Studio, a new feature that gives teams the ability to create and deploy AI agents that can handle repetitive tasks directly within their workflows - no coding required. The new tool aims to free up employees from administrative busywork that currently consumes over half of their workday.
Asana's AI agents act more like digital teammates, automatically handling project coordination and routine tasks across your workflow. You can customize these AI agents to manage everything from incoming project requests to content drafting and reporting.
"We're excited to roll out a no-code builder that lets customers design workflows by simply giving AI instructions in plain language," says Dustin Moskovitz, Asana's CEO and co-founder. "This level of ease and accessibility to building agents is a big step forward for any company wanting to improve the quality of their work while empowering teams to move faster."
Clear Channel Outdoor has been using AI Studio and shared that they have reduced manual work in their creative production process by 60%, saving approximately 15 hours per request. Morningstar, the financial services company, cut their project intake timeline by two weeks using AI-powered workflows.
The system runs on your choice of four language models from Anthropic and OpenAI. To prevent AI mistakes, you can require human approval for sensitive actions like sending external emails. It also maintains a record of AI decisions, letting you track and understand why an agent made specific choices.
AI Studio is available now for Asana's Enterprise and Enterprise+ customers, with a free tier offering limited daily usage and a paid option for more extensive needs. The company plans to expand access to additional subscription tiers soon.
