Robinhood is ramping up its AI capabilities. The popular investment app announced Monday it's acquiring Pluto Capital, Inc., an AI-powered research platform. This move aims to give Robinhood users smarter tools for spotting trends, crafting investment strategies, and optimizing their portfolios in real-time.
Pluto's technology leverages large language models to analyze market data and personal financial information. Robinhood plans to integrate these features to help users make faster, more informed investment decisions.
"They have built an impressive platform that is highly regarded in the financial services industry," said Mayank Agarwal, Robinhood's VP of Engineering. He emphasized how Pluto's AI expertise aligns with Robinhood's mission to democratize finance.

While financial terms weren't disclosed, Pluto had previously raised $4 million in seed funding and was valued at $12 million pre-money.
