Actively AI Lands $22.5M to Build 'GTM Superintelligence' for Sales Teams

Actively AI, a startup founded in 2022 by two Stanford researchers, is rethinking how sales teams leverage AI. Instead of following the typical “more is better” approach, the company builds tailored reasoning models that analyze complex data to pinpoint high-value sales opportunities—a technique that mimics the strategic thinking of top-performing human sales reps.

Key Points

  • Raised $22.5M to date, with a $17.5M Series A and a $5M seed round.
  • Offers a “GTM Superintelligence” that trains custom reasoning models for revenue teams.
  • Clients include Ramp, Ironclad, and other top sales organizations.

The company’s latest funding round, totaling $22.5M, marks a significant milestone. The Series A round of $17.5M was led by Bain Capital Ventures, with additional support from First Round Capital, which previously led a $5M seed round. This infusion of capital is aimed at expanding Actively AI’s reasoning engine, broadening its use cases across the go-to-market (GTM) stack, and scaling its team with top-tier talent.

Actively AI calls its approach “GTM Superintelligence,” a label that reflects its commitment to moving beyond surface-level automation. As co-founder and CEO Mihir Garimella explained, “In two years, every winning revenue org will be powered by advanced AI that outperforms human-led decisions, unlocking significant gains in pipeline and revenue”. By training custom AI models for each company, the platform is designed to deliver recommendations that align closely with a firm’s unique sales strategy, thus improving the efficiency and effectiveness of revenue teams.

Clients such as Ramp have already seen tangible benefits. Actively’s AI engine has reportedly helped Ramp secure tens of millions of dollars in extra revenue over the past year, with every new sales rep at the fintech giant now receiving training on the platform from day one . This real-world impact underscores a broader shift in the industry, where quality of engagement is becoming more crucial than simply increasing volume.

While it's still early to determine whether Actively's reasoning-powered approach will deliver on its promises, some investors are clearly convinced. The company says it has grown tenfold in nine months, though it declined to share specific revenue figures.
