Amazon has officially launched the ability to create unique AI-generated artwork on select Fire TV devices. As of today, U.S. owners of the second-generation Fire TV Stick 4K Max and Fire TV Omni QLED Series can access the new AI Art feature to imagine and generate custom images using only their voice.
Powered by Alexa and Amazon's Titan Image Generator, the AI Art tool lets you prompt artwork creations by holding the Alexa button and saying phrases like "Alexa, create a background of a medieval castle on Mars" or "Alexa, create an image of cherry blossoms in the snow." The AI then translates these prompts into unique visual representations, displayed right on your TV screen.
Here are some examples of what you can create:
How to Create AI-generated Art on Fire TV:
- Device Compatibility: First and foremost, ensure you have a compatible device. The AI Art feature is currently available on the second-generation Fire TV Stick 4K Max and the Fire TV Omni QLED Series.
- Activating Ambient Experience: Start by activating the Ambient Experience on your Fire TV. This can be done either by voice command – "Alexa, open Ambient" – or through the Shortcuts menu using the Alexa button.
- Initiating AI Art: Once in Ambient mode, you'll be notified about the new AI Art feature. Here, you can hold down the Alexa button and speak your imaginative prompt.
- Personalizing Your Art: The AI will present up to four initial images based on your prompt. Make your selection and personalize it by selecting additional artistic styles like pixel art, oil painting, watercolor, and more.
- Saving and Displaying Your Artwork: After selecting an image, you can view it in full screen, save it to a folder within the Ambient Experience, or even set it as your Fire TV background. There's also the option to save the image to your Amazon Photos account for easy sharing.
The new AI Art feature is part of the Ambient Experience that aims to turn the TV into a smart visual hub displaying useful glancable information when not streaming shows. This includes weather forecasts, calendars, news headlines, music, digital art, and now original AI-generated artwork.
