At next week’s National Retail Federation Big Show, Microsoft will unveil new AI capabilities within Dynamics 365 to help retailers adapt to rapid changes in consumer behavior and supply chain complexities. Central to this vision is a new integration between Dynamics 365 Customer Insights and Typeface’s generative AI platform, promising to transform cumbersome campaign development workflows.

According to Microsoft, 63% of retailers feel pressure to deploy marketing projects faster amid shifting consumer habits and budget constraints. However, disparate teams, tools, and data make launching personalized campaigns an arduous process.

The latest Dynamics 365 Customer Insights update aims to streamline campaign creation using natural language prompts and intelligent recommendations. Marketers simply describe their goal or upload a creative brief for Copilot, Microsoft’s AI assistant, to generate a centralized project board.

Copilot automatically surfaces relevant customer data and segments for targeting. It also provides complementary journey maps to drive personalized experiences across channels. Typeface’s AI generates on-brand creative assets to match the campaign and audience.

Hannah Harper, Digital Marketing Manager at Leatherman, participated in early testing. She remarked that Copilot’s automation helps her optimize faster by highlighting priority areas versus manual analysis.

Microsoft Corporate VP Charles Lamanna said joining Typeface’s content capabilities with Customer Insights’ customer intelligence unlocks scalable personalization. Typeface CEO Abhay Parasnis believes infusing workflows with generative AI will “usher in a new era of marketing creativity and productivity.”

Parasnis emphasizes the transformative potential of this integration, saying, "Every aspect of the enterprise is already being redefined with generative AI. By combining Dynamics 365 Customer Insights with Typeface’s storytelling engine, we’re reshaping campaign workflows and personalizing content at an unprecedented scale."

The integrated Customer Insights and Typeface experience enters public preview in the first quarter on 2024, with general availability expected by the third quarter. Current Customer Insights customers can sign up for early access to this public preview program.
