OpenAI has announced the launch of ChatGPT Team, a new subscription plan that provides businesses and teams access to ChatGPT and other advanced AI capabilities in a secure, collaborative workspace.

With ChatGPT Team, groups can get a private workspace where they can collaborate with ChatGPT and create custom AI apps, known as GPTs, for their specific business use cases. Teams can build and publish GPTs to automate workflows relevant to their operations without any coding required.

This latest offering follows the successful rollout of ChatGPT Enterprise last year, which has already been adopted by industry giants like Block, Canva, Carlyle, The Estée Lauder Companies, PwC, and Zapier.

ChatGPT Team is essentially a self-serve plan that extends the capabilities of OpenAI's advanced models to a broader range of businesses. Teams on the ChatGPT Team plan get upgraded access to OpenAI’s most advanced models, including GPT-4, image creation abilities of DALL-E 3, and tools to analyze data or documents.

ChatGPT is proving to be a gamechanger for many businesses—in fact, OpenAI says 80% of Fortune 500 companies have employees already using ChatGPT for work. Also, according to a study by Harvard Business School, the integration of GPT-4 into business workflows at Boston Consulting Group led to a 25% increase in task completion speed and a 40% improvement in work quality. The results showcase AI’s immense potential to enhance workplace efficiency and productivity when thoughtfully embedded into workflows.

OpenAI ChatGPT premium tier pricing

ChatGPT Team is available at $25 per user per month, billed annually. By comparison, the individual ChatGPT Plus plan runs $20 per month. So for an extra $5 per user, Team customers unlock higher usage caps and crucially - the ability to collaborate and customize AI for their business.
