Prezent Secures $20M to Enhance AI-Powered Slide Decks for Enterprise

Prezent has secured $20 million in funding to enhance its AI-powered platform that transforms business communications through automated slide deck creation, setting its sights on new industry verticals and international markets while crossing the $10 million annual recurring revenue mark.

Key Points

  • Prezent's AI assistant "Astrid" uses fine-tuned models trained on 2 million slide decks to create context-aware presentations
  • The company already serves approximately 150 Fortune 2000 clients and plans expansion into financial services and manufacturing
  • Funding will support growth into Europe, Japan, and Singapore, with API launches planned to integrate with chatbots and apps

Founded in 2021 by Rajat Mishra, who previously held positions at Cisco and McKinsey, the Los Altos-based company with a subsidiary in Bengaluru has been tackling a persistent pain point in corporate environments: the time-consuming process of creating effective presentations.

Prezent differentiates itself with its contextual intelligence. Users upload their assets—Excel files, PDFs, links—and provide information about their company and terminology to Prezent's AI assistant, Astrid. The system then leverages proprietary data, including a dataset of 2 million slide decks, to generate presentations tailored to specific business contexts.

For companies needing an extra polish, Prezent offers an expedited service combining AI with human reviewers—consultants and designers who deliver "professional-grade" presentations overnight.

The fundraise, an extension of Prezent's April 2022 Series A, values the company at "well over" $100 million, according to Mishra. Led by Greycroft with participation from Zoom Ventures, Emergent Ventures, and WestWave, the round also welcomed new investors True Global Ventures, Manulife Ventures, and Alumni Ventures.

This capital infusion comes at a strategic moment for Prezent, which generated over $10 million in annual recurring revenue last year. The company plans to use the funds to target clients in financial services and manufacturing while expanding operations to Europe, Japan, and Singapore, with several European customers already on board and Southeast Asian expansion slated for Q2 2025.

Prezent is also developing APIs to allow developers to create presentations directly from chatbots, apps, and search engines using its models—potentially extending its reach beyond direct enterprise users.
