Spotify AI Playlist Now Available in the US and Other Markets

Spotify is rolling out its AI Playlist feature to additional English-speaking regions, giving more Premium subscribers the ability to generate custom playlists using text prompts. Starting today, users in the United States, Canada, Ireland, and New Zealand can access the beta version of this feature on Android and iOS devices.

The expansion follows AI Playlist's initial launch in the UK and Australia earlier this year. The tool combines Spotify's personalization technology with generative AI, allowing users to create tailored playlists by describing their desired mood or theme.

To use AI Playlist, you must be Premium subscriber. Simply navigate to your library, tap the "+" button, and select "AI Playlist." You can then enter a prompt, such as "upbeat pop music for a European summer vacation" or "romantic songs for a date night at home." Spotify's AI generates a playlist based on the description, which users can then refine with additional prompts.

Spotify says the more specific your prompts, the better your results. The company also encourages users to mix genres, moods, artists, decades, and even reference places, activities, or emojis in their descriptions.

Since its initial launch, AI Playlist has generated millions of playlists that users frequently revisit. Spotify reports over 22 billion new artist discoveries monthly on its platform, with AI Playlist potentially contributing to this trend.
