ZeroEyes, creators of an AI-powered gun detection video analytics platform, announced it has raised $23 million in new funding amid rapidly growing demand for its innovative public safety solution.

The oversubscribed funding round comes on the heels of ZeroEyes achieving over 300% year-over- growth. It was led by Octave Ventures and Alliance Holdings, with participation from existing investors.

This capital infusion will allow ZeroEyes to accelerate R&D efforts, expand its channel partner programs, and scale business operations to keep pace with surging customer interest.

Demand for ZeroEyes’ AI software has skyrocketed as organizations seek proactive solutions to curb epidemic levels of gun violence. The company is currently deployed across thousands of locations for hundreds of customers in education, healthcare, retail, gaming, and other sectors.

An intriguing dimension to ZeroEyes' operation is its wholly-owned subsidiary, ZE Government Solutions (ZEGS). The subsidiary has successfully garnered contracts with the U.S. Department of Defense, reflecting the technology’s dual-use capabilities in threat detection and situational awareness for national security.

ZeroEyes layers its AI gun detection software on top of existing security cameras. When a gun is spotted, trained analysts at ZeroEyes’ 24/7 operations center verify the threat and notify local staff and law enforcement. This hybrid model ensures that false positives are minimized and actionable intelligence is dispatched rapidly to local authorities, often within 3 to 5 seconds from the time of detection.

"ZeroEyes has demonstrated remarkable ability to execute on its important mission. We are excited about their future as they continue to achieve wide adoption and staggering growth," said Michael Kim of Octave Ventures.

With gun violence plaguing schools and public spaces, ZeroEyes' timely solution is garnering intense interest. This new funding will fuel the next phase of growth, allowing ZeroEyes to scale up and meet urgent customer needs.

Backed by veteran Navy SEALs and technologists, ZeroEyes is bringing cutting-edge AI technology and military-grade threat intelligence to enhance public safety across the country.

While AI technology like ZeroEyes is a promising step, it also serves as a mirror reflecting the urgency of the situation at hand. It is vital to maintain a measured perspective. While the technology offers a set of proactive solutions, it is not a silver bullet to eradicate gun violence. Its effectiveness hinges on the seamless integration with existing security infrastructures and the broader societal commitment to address the root causes of gun violence.
